 Chris Stelma serves as the Fastpitch Director for Recruit Fastpitch and is the Head Softball Coach at Oakland University. With over a decade of collegiate coaching experience, Coach Stelma has established himself as one of the most respected leaders in NCAA softball through his commitment to player development, competitive excellence, and building strong team cultures.

Prior to joining Oakland University, Stelma spent eight seasons as the Head Coach at Saint Peter's University, where he engineered one of the most remarkable program turnarounds in collegiate softball. Under his leadership, the program experienced unprecedented growth and success, earning him MAAC Coach of the Year honors while developing student-athletes both on and off the field.

Throughout his coaching career, Coach Stelma has been recognized for his ability to develop talent, build winning programs, and prepare athletes for success at the collegiate level. His expertise extends across all aspects of the game, including player development, recruiting, team culture, leadership development, and competitive strategy.

As Fastpitch Director for Recruit Fastpitch, Coach Stelma oversees the organization's softball operations, coaching development, player advancement initiatives, and recruiting pathways. Taylor Turner serves as the Player Development and Recruiting Coordinator for Recruit Fastpitch while also serving as an Assistant Softball Coach at Oakland University. A former collegiate standout and rising coach in NCAA Division I softball, Turner brings a unique combination of playing experience, coaching expertise, and a passion for developing young athletes.

Before joining the Oakland University coaching staff, Turner enjoyed a successful collegiate playing career at both Miami University (Ohio) and Bowling Green State University. Throughout her career, she was recognized not only for her performance on the field but also for her leadership, work ethic, and commitment to team success.

As a coach, Turner has quickly established herself as a talented instructor with a strong ability to connect with athletes and help them maximize their potential. Her areas of expertise include hitting, defensive development, player mentorship, leadership development, and recruiting preparation. She is passionate about helping athletes build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and create habits that lead to long-term success.

At Recruit Fastpitch, Turner plays a key role in player development programming, recruiting education, and mentorship initiatives. Her experience as both a Division I athlete and coach provides valuable insight into the collegiate recruiting process and the skills necessary to compete at the next level.

Maggie Murphy serves as a Hitting and Offensive Development Coach for Recruit Fastpitch. As one of the premier hitters in NCAA Division I softball, Maggie brings elite-level playing experience, a passion for athlete development, and firsthand knowledge of what it takes to compete at the highest levels of the game.

Prior to joining Oakland University, Murphy established herself as one of the top young players in collegiate softball while competing at Miami University (Ohio). During her freshman season, she earned MAC Freshman of the Year honors, was named Second Team All-MAC, and received NFCA All-Region recognition, immediately making an impact as one of the conference's top offensive players.

Since transferring to Oakland University, Murphy has continued to excel as one of the Horizon League's most dangerous hitters. Her accomplishments include Horizon League First Team honors and NFCA Great Lakes All-Region recognition. Known for her consistency at the plate, advanced offensive approach, and competitive mindset, she has developed a reputation as a complete hitter capable of impacting the game in multiple ways.

As part of the Recruit Fastpitch coaching staff, Murphy works directly with athletes on hitting mechanics, offensive approach, confidence building, game preparation, and overall offensive development. Her ability to relate to young athletes and share current collegiate-level training methods provides players with valuable insight into the skills and habits necessary to succeed at the next level.
